LINT x FAUX PAS

Lint’s current project is an evolving research effort. The gallery space is currently a working studio area for several artists, who will have from March 6th-April 9th 2021 to develop a piece for the exhibition at the end of the residency. The gallery space has been sectioned out via construction tape and will require artists to reach across the studio space to other artists to adapt to the design of the room. The process will be documented on film by members of the collective. The film has been funded by Kulturungdom.

During the studio residency period, artists had weekly discussion forums held online to decide the title and concept for the show. The exhibition is ongoing until April 29th, 2021.

The artists worked within their defined areas, utilizing the room as a sketchpad for their installation.

The ultimate title for the exhibition was realized during artist discussions and research regarding sugar’s long and complex history. Much of the work within the exhibition alludes to consumption, scarcity, and preservation.
